Reflections

Krytzia’s gallery titled “Reflections”, which consists of 11 paintings, was on display in the Specta Gallery in 2021 and at UNESCO in Mexico City 2022. This digital gallery showcases 4 of these paintings.

Through her enormous canvases, Krytzia transmits her energy, and reflects what unfolds before her eyes in her workshop. When painting, she does not choose colors, she does not discriminate against them, but instead integrates them and builds her canvases, enriching them with various materials such as pigments, acrylics, oil pastel as well as sand, ashes, and more. Her thoughts revolve around identity, diversity, and inclusion. She puts herself in the shoes of others, questions discrimination, bullying, segregation, oppression, terrorism, violence, and transforms it into a canvas of understanding, harmony, empathy and respect for all human beings and the environment.

Celebration of Life, 2021

Mixed Media on Canvas

4.3 x 2 m

Celebration of Life radiates a dynamic yet meditative energy through Krytzia’s vibrant use of colors—rich blues, greens, and oranges—that evoke natural elements blending in abstract harmony. The painting’s swirling shapes and recurring circular motifs emphasize the interconnectedness of all living things, with organic patterns deliberately recalling cellular structures or plant growth. These elements, in their layered complexity, compel viewers to see the micro and macro aspects of life simultaneously, highlighting the cyclical, regenerative nature of existence.

Reflections on Inclusion, 2021

Mixed Media on Canvas

3.9 x 2.1 m

In this painting, Krytzia captures the boundless and life-sustaining essence of water through an underwater landscape of deep blues with hints of pink, green, and yellow, evoking the diversity nurtured by water. The expansive, fluid composition speaks to water’s essential role in sustaining life, with flowing forms mirroring the movement and connectivity of oceans, lakes, and rivers. This dreamlike space emphasizes water’s power to shape landscapes, support ecosystems, and link species across distances. Krytzia’s work highlights humanity’s reliance on this precious resource, urging viewers to appreciate its beauty and recognize our responsibility in preserving it for future generations.

Reflections on Diversity I

Mixed Media on Paper

60 x 50 cm

Colors blend, yet boldly stand,
Shapes entwine in patterned land.
Each hue, a voice, a story told,
Together bright, distinct, and bold.

In unity and contrast bright,
We find our strength, we share our light.

Antepasados

Acrylic on Canvas

Diptych 50 x 60 cm

In Antepasados, [which translates to ‘ancestors’ from Spanish] Krytzia weaves together the echoes of her ancestors from Mexico, the Czech Republic, and Israel, capturing the layers of heritage and shared human experience. Through vibrant forms and colors, she explores the idea that while our recent ancestors are rooted in specific places, our distant origins merge and intertwine across borders and time. The painting becomes a tapestry of souls—a reminder that we are bound not only by the soil beneath us but by the collective journey of countless generations, reaching out to one another across history.
